This year, AHS’s Homecoming festivities took place on October 9-10. The Homecoming football game was on Friday and the dance was on Saturday. You can order papers online in case the topic you need right now is available for research.
This year’s homecoming court consisted of Madelyn Brainard, Allysa Cunningham, Alexandria Jones, Alexis Manning, Tavon Roberts, Amanda Tremblay, Nyshawn Green, Devon Grimes, Rocko Hillhouse, Antoine Johnson, Karl Lyons, and Perry Stokes.
The king and queen of homecoming was announced at the Homecoming football game, during halftime. The 2015 Homecoming King was Karl Lyons, and the Queen was Tavon Roberts.
Other activities relating to homecoming included Spirit Week, which was Monday through Friday and the Pep Rally, which was at the end of the school day on Friday. The pep rally started at 1:00 p.m. and lasted throughout the school day.
The pep rally included games, activities, contests and performances for everyone to enjoy. Performances included the cheerleaders, the dance team and the band.
Contests and games included the hippity-hop race, the rap battle, the pie eating contest, and the dance-off.
The Homecoming football game ended in exciting fashion, with a score of 42-28 vs. Fallston. A thunderstorm threatened the game, with the power briefly going out, but power was restored and the Eagles made their way to victory.
