One quick stop into the nurse’s office, and there is a wealth of information to be found! The knowledgeable and experienced nurses at AHS have plenty of advice for the AHS community to stay healthy during the beginning of this new year.
They said that we start 2014 with a dry season, so you must pay special attention to your hands. They will crack and may become infected; the best way to help prevent this from happening is to use lotion and Vaseline.
Also, make sure you dress appropriately for the cold weather we have been having. If you do get the symptoms of hypothermia, don’t put your hand directly on hot surfaces; you have to gently warm them with a towel or a blanket so they will get natural heat, said the nurses.
Don’t neglect your health! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to stop by the nurse’s office.
