You Are Not Alone

Has something ever happened to you that made you feel like you’re the only human on this planet? Everyone goes through things, and no one can really help you but yourself. Personally, I have gone through things that actually gave me an “internal pain.” Physically, I wasn’t hurt; however, the event that took place really took a toll on me mentally.

This past summer, on August 3rd, around 4:30 A.M., I got a call that really changed my life. My father had passed away. My world came crashing down.

My father dealt with a long time drug problem with heroin. And, sadly, that is what took his life. To this day, it’s a struggle to not have him in my life.

We had a relationship that was undeniable. He was my best friend; he was such an easy person to talk to. We basically spent every summer together. He was my other half.

As time went on, I realized that I’m not the only one who has lost parents at a young age. Once it actually happens to you, you realize you can’t take anyone for granted. That’s why I have so much respect for my mother.

Something like this shows you that tomorrow is not promised, so treat everyone right and there will be no regrets in your life.

I remind myself every day that God wouldn’t make things happen in your life for no reason at all. When things like this happen, He knows that you are a strong enough individual to handle anything from big to small.

Time heals all wounds. YOU’RE NOT ALONE.
