It’s the age of technology, so clearly we’re going to continue to have those random comings and goings of different media. Last week, Twitter users were presented with a brand new number one trend titled “Acapella.”
When opening the hashtag, hundreds of thousands of videos pop up with people singing inside a grid of squares.
The new Acapella app allows you to record individual videos to construct a single video which will play all the videos to (hopefully) create a song.
Clearly, music lovers all across the globe took full advantage of the app and developed videos which were definitely interesting, to say the least. Many of the covered songs consisted of hits such as Beyoncé’s “Drunk in Love,” and Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches.”
However, regardless of the fame the app is currently receiving, it is never certain how long these apps will last. We’ve seen Flappy Bird, Candy Crush, Trivia Crack, and far too many other media apps come and go quickly.
With this new app, however, it was previously made by its creators, ‘Pic Play Post,’ but was modified and upgraded, evolving onto social media platforms as a brand new app.
So how long until Acapella becomes obsolete and a new app takes over our little free time we have? Perhaps it’s just a matter of time before Acapella departs from the media spotlight.
Whether or not you utilize the Acapella app or don’t think it will stick around much longer, one thing’s for sure; Acapella has given everyone the opportunity to shine bright like Rihanna’s diamond, even if it is for a brief moment.
You can purchase Acapella on iTunes App Store or Google Play for free for limited time.
